What is digital photography and print design?
In DESMA 1 students will create a magazine using their own photos, writing, and design. The content of the magazine will be developed from various exercises guided by the instructors and guest lecturers, including a renowned graphic designer and a professional photographer. Students will learn basic technical skills with Adobe Indesign, Adobe Photoshop, and Digital SLR cameras. The class will include a trip to a high-end pre-press/printing house, as well as trips around Los Angeles to shoot photographs.
