Assignment E

This assignment is to make a composition of all the traces of 24 different frames in about one second in a movie clip. I have chosen a second in a Thai move called "Tom Yum Goon," which has a lot of action scenes.

In this 1 second of the movie, this guy on the right jumps from the floor and kick the guy on the left in his face and then bounce back in the air. There is so much motion in just this tiny one second. I trace the basic outlines of the characters. Instead of filling in colors, I leave it just with the outlines, which I think will show more clear about what has happened in just shortly one second. I used different color for the outlines, because I wanted to show how the energy and tension of the action changes from the beginning to the end. At first, it starts out as white, gradually changes to red and black. The black outlines represents what I think the most tensed part of the characters' action and energy. And then, the color changes from black to gray and to white again, which demonstrate the energy and tension is loosing.
