concept
   the concept for my piece was to subtly use a different object than what has been used in the past. through this, I would be able to improve upon the ideas that were introduced for the first time last quarter. I noticed that the objects used in the previous quarter and even other projects for winter 2006 are objects that are autonomous that don't require any kind of interaction. the gun is unlike these items. the gun is the perfect example because when viewed through the ideal color where people aren't trying to interact with the object the gun doesn't really pop out and catch your attention. however, as soon as my roommate touches the gun it really pops out. the reason for this is the gun is dependent on a user to really make it intimidating. when put in the right circumstances a gun can be dangerous. on its own, however, the gun is a useless piece of metal.
