As Cloninger said, "the goal is usefulness." I think about how dictionary.com saves people from having to flip through pages. I will try to save peoples time with the class site that I will build. The class site will have nearly 16 topics about the internet and those 16 topics are broken into about six parts. The visitor on the site needs to be able to get to the topic and its section fast and easy without getting lost. I will streamline the process so that the visitor will not have to click various buttons or return to main menus before looking for another topic.
There will also be a place to add comments which keeps the page dynamic. The comments themselves can lead to discussion, causing the page to take on a life of its own. The page won't have all six of the media characteristics that Cloninger mentions, but it will have the useful ones. | |
