Overview

This course is intended to introduce students to fundamentals of digital photography as an artistic and design practice. Students will learn the technical aspects of photography, including pre-production, studio and field shooting, lighting, and post-production software. This hands-on learning will be complimented by a rigorous overview of critical issues, history and theory behind photography, as illustrated through the seminal artists of the field.

Production assignments will expect students to master technical skills while developing conceptualized artworks, and will be rigorously reviewed for quality and content.
