Anamorphosis

The purpose of this assignment was to explore the spatial relationship between different viewing perspectives, and how this effects the composition of a image and the point of view of the viewer.  For my assignment, I chose to investigate the theory of self-identity by creating a large single match out of the components from 250 smaller matches.  At the right perspective, the match appears to be in correct proportions, although from a bird’s eyes perspective it is apparent that only a single viewing angle creates the optimum image.
