Prior to selecting this scene, I wanted to set up near Royce Hall facing Powell and take photos of the students walking by. However, as I was sitting there, I noticed that the scene changed quite dramatically every few seconds, so instead, I decided to film my roommate who was playing guitar and facebooking. I chose this particular scene because, although she was sitting on the bed the whole time, her hands and face changed quite gracefully. I decided to make those the focal points of the illustration, while still keeping parts of the background through outlines.
